Senior Consultant

Senior consultants play a very active role in all aspects of an engagement – identifying issues, forming hypotheses, problem framing, problem resolution determination, planning, analyses, synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, and helping to implement change. They act as senior project managers, assuming primary responsibility for structuring the problem solving process, assigning work, coaching team members, and managing day-to-day interactions with senior executive clients.

In this role, consultants often choose to become more closely affiliated with an industry or functional practice – typically, because they find an area that excites them and THINQ service sector that they want to join. Recognized as 'partners-in-training,' senior consultants begin to split their time among multiple engagements, rather than working on one engagement at a time. At the same time, they become involved in ongoing client development and participate in most office and practice decision-making. They also continue to develop in-depth expertise in practice areas.
