IT Support Analyst

City: Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Scope of Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for monitoring and maintaining the network, servers and applications to ensure high availability for client's data centers. The tech will provide first-tier response and diagnosis and will escalate further troubleshooting to the tier 2 support when necessary. Responsible for addressing the technical needs of our clients at various levels of their organization. Utilizing remote support to analyze and expedite problem resolution to ensure quality service.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide Tier 1 support processes including proper problem tracking, documentation and escalation procedures.
  • First point of contact for problem resolution
  • Provide email and telephone support with the goal of first contact resolution
  • Troubleshoot & make recommendations on production workstation issues
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, energetic, and corporate culture environment.
  • To effectively communicate service outages internally & externally, to escalate tickets appropriately.
  • Centralized ownership of client problems as they arise and flow through the system to completion.
  • Monitor production environments including network, servers, communications, and applications to ensure high availability using all available management system tools.
  • Open, manage, update, and close service tickets with detailed information relating to all problems reported.
  • Quickly identify, troubleshoot, resolve and/or escalate recurring technical problems.
  • Correlate alert notifications and develop appropriate response actions for future response automation.
  • Provide critical system planned and unplanned outages coordination and escalation with teams.
  • Follow notification and escalation process.
  • Reports system performance inconsistencies to next level support.
  • Day-to-day administration of Enterprise management system in a high availability environment.
  • Ensure proper monitoring coverage of all applications to provide proper monitoring, views, and analysis of customers.
  • Work with Infrastructure Team to ensure events are properly categorized and presented.
  • Able to consistently perform repeated hourly routine
  • Provide on-call support as part of a rotating schedule.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Network+ certification
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based service process.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner.
  • Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns diagnosing and repairing systems
  • Experience in a call center environment providing remote product assistance a benefit.

  • Experience with the following: Microsoft Server environment Administration, proactive/reactive systems monitoring, networking, and desktop resolution efficiency.
  • Must be able to work 8 hour shift.
  • Be a part of a rotating on call team.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of all products, services, and procedures in data center environment.
  • Familiar with problem-tracking, reporting and systems monitoring processes.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization, and teamwork skills
  • High energy, forward thinking, creative individual with demonstrated critical thinking, self-motivation, innovation, excellent judgment skills.
  • Work in a team based environment
